Your creature has a number of genes which you can tweak. Each slider represents a pair of genes. Increasing or decreasing a gene’s value will change the appearance of your creature.

When a biomorph has a child it inherits all the genes of its parent (it only has the one parent, for there is no sex), but with some possibility of random mutation. This is artificial selection (as opposed to natural selection) since you dictate which genes survive through breeding.
